Kevin O’Daly is a commercial photographer formerly from Adelaide now residing and working from North West Tasmania. He has been a professional photographer for over 40 years, traversing the globe and inspired by built landscapes. He owned and operated a large commercial studio in Adelaide servicing advertising agencies and commercial clients, including shooting annual reports and corporate brochures for many of Australia’s largest companies. In addition his award winning photographs have travelled in the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) loans collection and been exhibited around Australia in art galleries, banks and malls. In 1991, he won the Ilford trophy for the highest scoring print in the Australian Professional Photography Awards and was awarded his Master of Photography in 1996 (MPhotog).
Kevin’s articles have been published in Professional Photography, Australia, and the Kodak Pro Talk magazine. His book on the Adelaide Zoo was published in 1991. Kevin is a keynote speaker to Australian and New Zealand photography conventions.
Kevin has been involved in the peak Australian photographic industry bodies and served as National President of the AIPP from 1988 until 1990, when he became the first Chairman of the Board of the newly incorporated Institute. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the AIPP in 1994 for his contribution to the photographic industry in Australia (HFAIPP). Some of Kevin’s work is featured on this website.
